Makeup
Makeup for your Face
- Use a cleanser morning and night (do not scrub your face hard).
- Use a moisturizer (SPF if necessary).
- Apply foundation on your cheeks, forehead, chin, and nose.
- Blend and smooth gently with a sponge
- The best way to know if your foundation is a perfect match, check the shading in natural light.
- Choose a concealer that matches your skin tone or one shade lighter.
- Gently smooth under eyes and other areas with imperfections with a sponge or clean fingertips.
- Optional, you may apply loose powder as a finishing touch. Apply over entire face and neck.
Eye Makeup
Daytime Look
- Apply light shades or shades that blend with your skin tone such as: white, cream, peach, gold and brown.
- Apply brown eyeliner to keep the look soft and fresh.
- If you have blonde or brown eyelashes, apply brown mascara or soft black mascara.
Night-time Look
- Apply dark shades such as: dark brown, black, gray, purple, blue, and green.
- Apply white, cream, or gold shadow right below the brow. (don't apply too much)
- Apply black eyeliner. Use liquid eyeliner for the top lid, soft tip eyeliner and cream eyeliner for the bottom lid.
- Apply black mascara.
Lips
3 Options for Simple Lips for Daytime
- Lip-gloss with a tint of color
- Lipstick that blends with your lip color such as: pink or peach.
- If you have a natural cherry lip color, no lipstick is necessary.
Dramatic Lips
- Apply lip liner
- Cherry red, deep red (burgundy), and hot pink are great for night.
Skincare
- Always use makeup remover
- Rinse your face after using the makeup remover.
- Use your daily routine of cleaning your skin, with whatever products work best for you.
- Alcohol removes excess dirt on the skin. After bathing or showering, you will be amazed of how much dirt is still on the skin.
- I use a cotton ball and remove excess dirt from my neck, behind the ears, chest and underarms before applying lotion, makeup, and deodorant.
- Please do not use alcohol if it is too harsh on your skin, or if you are unsure irritation may occur. Be careful around areas of the body with bruises and open wounds.
- The more you take care of your skin, the less foundation you will have to apply on your face. Fresh skin is the best foundation.
- If you are not going many places in one day (grocery store, visiting family), I recommend not applying any foundation at all, it's best to keep your face clear and not caked with makeup all the time.
